I believe Ellis High School is one of the best schools in Kansas. Although it is a smaller school and doesn't have some of the 'extras' that larger schools have, the students are given full opportunity to excell and many do! Class sizes are smaller, which lends itself to a more one on one teaching enviroment if needed. A student is a person, not just a number or name on a roster.
The students can immerse themselves into extracurricular activities such as football, volleyball, cross country, wrestling, basketball, golf, track & field. Other activities include cheerleading, forensics, choir, band, FFA, FCCLA, Kayettes, SADD.
The school itself is about 25 years old, but has been well taken care of and still looks new.
I am an alumni of Ellis High School and my son is a current student there. Parents can be as involved as they want to be.
