Great school, great teachers, great students. My son is having a great school experience. I went through a different school system and my husband and I decided that we were not going to expose our son to that environment. Best decision we made. He had made wonderful friends.

My son started in k with Mrs Chance as his teacher, she is a very caring and loving teacher . I could not have asked for any better. From the bus driver who became a very good friend, to the staff in the office that knows my son by his name .(I wonder if that is a bad thing lol) I am also very happy that they call the holiday by there real name.

Mission Valley is an amazing school. From the teachers to the support staff to the district office, this school is the total package. I envy my kids, because their school experience is everything I wished mine would have been. This school is a standout for so many reasons. It has many teachers who are Mission Valley grads. Instead of leaving the district and moving onto bigger districts after college, many alum are returning to invest in the school system thru education. This school has a student body that is involved and proud. Many away games, the MV student section has more of presence than the home crowd. With cheerleaders singing the alma mater every time MV puts up a touchdown and crazy fans that any NFL team would envy, you can't help but adore these kids. It is a real school, teaching real kids to thrive in a real world.

My child transfered from the neighboring 'well-to-do' Washburn Rural School District. I've found Mission Valley much more caring, friendly and academically focused. The teachers have gone above and beyond what their duties entail to ensure all students feel success and pride in thier success. The teacher-student ratio is great. Students are called by name by most employees from the Principal to the janitorial staff. It is truly a great educational 'community' that embraces all children. I wish I would have transfered my student sooner. This small school district has much more to offer than the larger neighboring school disticts. At the larger school, my child was just a number lost in the shuffle! If you're thinking about transfering your child to Mission Valley do it! I don't think you would regret your decision one bit.

I worked here as a para and was not very satisfied with several of the teachers. Their ability was substandard. I realize this is a poor district and pay is not very high. I was hoping for better. I decided to homeschool my children as a result of my observations.
