My oldest has gone to E.W. since K. Now she is in 5th grade and we love this school and all the teachers. The teachers are caring and stay in contact with the parents. I have two other children as well in this school and again we have loved all the teachers. I would recommend this school to anyone moving to the area.

Many changes are taking place - and without parents being given an opportunity to provide input. My 4th grader no longer has free play time, they now call it structured play which basically amounts to PE class again. They are also now eating lunch in the class rooms as opposed to the lunchroom because they have turned it into a part time classroom. I would really like to see some adjustments made to give our children a different place to eat than were they work, and also the opportunity to have free play time which will allow them more social opportunities to help them mature.

Eugene Ware is a great school. The school really cares about the children that attend. The school is really working hard to bring up the reading. Mrs. Drake, the principal, got teacher of the year in Kansas this year.
