Great school! I have been going to it since Kindergarten. Now, I am a Sophomore. Great facilities! Our 7 & 8th grade History Teacher, was named NATIONAL History Teacher of the Year, last year in 2010-2011 school year. The middle school has an annual history fair which is so much fun! The kids set up stands and talk about history from the Chinese Dynasties to Obama's Inauguration. Now about our athletic program, the coaches are absolutley AMAZING! I can honestly say I won't forget any of my coaches or teammates, they are practically a second family to me. Finally, our school band is AMAZING!! We have not only beaten schools in our district, but we have beaten Topeka HIgh's Band AND Orchestra along with other Topeka Schools. We also take a band trip every two years to a location decided by our conductor. While we are there, we will play at a competition, and we usually bring home a trophy I can't even start to tell your how many trophies we have in our band room! But all in all i believe that Royal Valley Elementary, Middle, ad High Schools are great and amazing schools! But the only weay to find out is to enroll your kid today! great school with amazing leadership, parental involvement is non existant in half of the parents that send their children to Hoyt/Mayetta but overall the entire district is great.

This school has a lot of potential but is still lacking those hard to find quality individuals in a couple of teacher rolls and especially in the leadership positions. However this school like I said has great potential with excellent facilities and some quality individuals in the teaching positions.
