Prairie View is a great school. Yes, it may have its problems with the willingness of kids to learn, but that can hardly be considered a school's fault and must be placed directly on the shoulders of the student. Activities are very well represented here. Everyone makes the athletic team and there are plenty of clubs if you don't like to be involved in sports. College extension courses are also offered through this school. I will graduate with 31 credit hours because of the college preparedness courses. The teachers are very willing to help students if they just take the intiative to ask.

I receantly dropped out of the school to be homeschooled. This school has many problems. I will say that it is a very nice building and its extracriccular activities are pleantiful but it seems that all the teachers are just working toward their retirements and most of the students dont care about their education at all.

Prairie View definately has it's good and bad points. We recently changed administration, and they are not doing nearly as well as the past administration did. We have very good IEP classes for children who are slower or faster learners than the average kid. I'm in Gifted, and I know that no other school probably has a Gifted program as good as ours. We're also trying to convert our school to be seeing-impaired friendly. AKA, putting up braille signs for each classroom.
