LVS offers Calvert curriculum for grades K-8 and Kaplan for grades 9-12. The LVS teacher support is extraordinary! Sadly, it seems that online school staff are often cocky, holding an attitude that speaks of an inward mistrust of parents to school their own children. LVS breaks that steriotype! The principal's wife, in fact, home schools their boys. This school is very friendly to all home schoolers. They accept religious teaching in the home and allow for many alternatives to teaching the Calvert students. This flexibilty is not as easy with the Kaplan program, but the same heart for home schoolers exists with the LVS staff. They are highly accomodating whenever possible. They even open science and art days to all homeschoolers: even those not registered with LVS. This shows where their focus lies: in supporting the homeschool movement, not in redefining homeschooling or manhandling the parents or children. 2 thumbs up!

The school has a great curriculum and you don't have the day to day worries as you do in public schools today.
