The principal, staff, and teachers care about the success of the students. Parent involvement is good, and this school continues to be a Standard of Excellence in academics. There is an art class, music including vocal, strings, and band. There is an afterschool program that is an extension of the school day where students focus on academics and other mind challenging activities. My two sons, now in jr, high and high school received an excellent foundation of educcation for their future. My youngest son is diagnosed under the autism spectrum of disorders and they did a fabulous job accomodating his needs. While this school is in the historical, but poorer section of Olathe, the quality of education is just as great as the other elementary schools in the district.
