I cannot say enough about how much I love this school! Great academics, programs and most importantly I know they love and care about my child and are divulging her to the heart of Jesus.

I have two children currently at Kansas City Christian School. We love this school. The teachers and administration are wonderful. They care about academic success, but also about my children's development socially and spiritually. My children are challenged in their studies, and personally as the school seeks to educate the whole person. The families that attend KCC have become some of our closest friends and there is a wonderful since of community at KCC. We sacrifice financially to send our children to KCC and it is worth every penny.

We truly love this school. From the professional yet approachable administration, to the highly skilled and caring teachers, to the great friends that our children have made. We can't recommend it highly enough. The curriculum is Christ centered and challenging. Our children are pushed to achieve their best and yet encouraged when they come up against difficulties. If you are looking for a fantastic Christian school in the Kansas City area, you need look no further

We have sent 5 children to Kansas City Christian over the last 15 years. Two of our children have graduated from college, one is currently in college and we still have 2 children in the school. I have been pleased with the overall education our children have received from this school. Our three oldest were very well prepared for college. I would recommend KCCS to any parent who wants his or her child to be educated by Godly, loving and talented teachers.

Think twice before paying the high tuition for this school. We have sent our children to KCC for several years. Our experience there has been disappointing. After investing our hard earned money and sacrificing through those years, we came away with kids that are very unprepared for an academically challenging learning environment. We want our children to receive a christian education w/o sacrificing quality academics. KCC let us down on both. Many families are leaving KCC and driving farther to go to other private schools that provide a quality education. KCC has very high faculty turn over which we attribute to the poor leadership that Bill Glotzbach has provided over the last few years. We found that the school's administration was highly focused on putting kids in seats ($$$), versus raising the standard academically. The school is run down, and the budget overburdened by a large admistrative staff. There is a culture of legalistic christian faith. We are a very conservative christian family, but we are also cultured and enjoy the arts. We expected a far more enriching environment than we found. Bottom line: look elsewhere for a school that is quality and christian.

Kathy Hirleman, the school principal is the best school leader I have ever experienced. I was a junior high teacher for a number of years and am now a parent of a student that goes to KCC. Many of the teachers there are outstanding, and the highly involved parental community is great, but Kathy brings it all together. KCC will not turn your child into an Einstein, nor will it fix deep emotional or social wounds suffered elsewhere, but it is a positive and healthy environment where kids can grow up and learn.

wonderful, safe Christian environment! My children feel safe & secure at this school everyday. They are growing in their faith and in their education. We love this school and so grateful to be part of the KCCS community! It is truly a blessed place!

We have had mixed experiences at KCCS for the last three years. The positives are the school was very welcoming to our child who struggles socially and the structured environment is good. They are a college preparatory school with very little desire or willingness to make accommodations for student success. So if you have a child who dosn't fit the traditional educational mold, this is not the school for you. I agree with the parent that stated the "Christian" perspective in all areas is difficult to swallow at times. We are Christians, but more tolerant and liberal than many of the teachers so this can be an issue during 'at home' conversations that differ greatly from"what the teacher said". I feel that the history and science curriculum is not a good preparation for future learning. As my husband and I hold advanced degrees in the sciences, but consider ourselves Christians, I think this could be accomplished differently. The World View component which is taught throughout the students learning could definitely be improved. We continue to send our child there for the structure and compared to the local public school it is a "softer place to land" socially.

Awsome school. The teachers are helpful and work with you to make sure you excel. The low student to teacher ratio is great for students.

My three children attended KCCS for 5 years and absolutely loved it! They have high standards and expectations and the children meet it! My kids didn't have a teacher they didn't love. The principle and administrator on the elementary side are very involved and active (We didn't make it to middle or high school). The education is top notch! We've done public schools and there is no comparison! Your child will be loved on and feel loved and accepted by their teacher and the principle. There is no tolerance of bullying or name calling of any sort. I can't say enough positive things about this school. Great parent involvement and great school communication. KCCS has a lot of activities for the high schoolers - golf, soccer, baseball, drama, debate, etc. We are moving out of state and I will miss this school.

If you want your child to be indoctrinated with Biblical perspectives, this is the school for you. If you want them to be well rounded in an educational manner, don't send them to this school. The only view of the world, history, and science that is taught is a Christian one. I would opt for a school that teaches tolerance and educates children about all religions and views so that they can make informed choices for their future.

We have been extremely pleased with the education at KCCS. We find it reassuring to know that our children are in school with those of like faith. We feel that the education they receive is extremely good. All the teachers we have had to date(thru 3rd grade) have been wonderful.

I believe that this is the best Christian school in the Kansas City Metropolitian area. The principal interacts with the children and the school has a truly Christian athmosphere. The tuition is a little high but for the quality of service you get, it is well worth every penny.

During the four years our children attended KCCS, many character building lessons were focused upon. However, the emphasis on academics was not as strong as some of the area public schools. KCCS is one of the highest tuition schools within the Johnson County area. It was disappointing when the school changed the focus from a Christ centered school to a money-making entity.

This school is an excellent school. If your child needs discipline, this is a top choice. My child has been coming here since 6th grade and has been taught ethics and respect. I am so privaleged to send my child to a highly disciplinary school!
