Reading is a typical small Kansas town. Several of the teachers are 'homegrown'. So, unless you're a 2nd generation 'Reading ite' don't expect the staff to be receptive to any new ideas. Your child will receive a good basic education but the staff doesn't see past the city limit sign. Make sure you can give your child a pair of 'Wings' - they won't find any at Reading Elementary
