Trailwood Elementary School

This school is strictly a by product of a good neighborhood. The principal is a nice man, but way too laid back and passive. We have brought things to his attention over the last 6+ years in terms of incidents in the classroom or on the playground and he has never taken them seriously. If your child is one where school comes to them easily, it is a fine school. Our youngest has done fine and she had more teachers who were in for the long haul. Our oldest is one who has to work harder for grades and it hasn't been a good experience at all. She had a great 1st grade teacher who retired. The rest were getting ready to leave due to a baby being born or retirement and they had serious short timer attitudes. The reading specialis is great. Overall, we have two different kids with two different experiences. One has been great in spite of Trailwood and one has been absolutely dreadful.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this school! The Principal is very involved, the P.T.A. rocks and the parents are so friendly. My son is in Kindergarten and has the best teacher, Mrs. Graverson. She has taught our son how to have positive attitiude about school and has really layed a solid foundation for the rest of his learning years. We feel so blessed to be able to go to Trailwood!!!

We moved to Trailwood when our son was in 2nd grade. We felt so welcomed by everyone! We've been there for two years now and really feel that it's a wonderful school with a lot of parent involvement and many extracuricular activities. The teachers he's had have been especially attentive. We can't wait for our little girls to start at Trailwood.

Love Trailwood...alot of parent involvement and the principal is fantastic. Don't have any complaints at all...the teaching staff is top notch...my son loves going to school everyday!
