The environment that this school establishes is very positive for me and my teen. The activities, programs, and such offers so many pathways my child can pursue a desired career.

I am not an easy fan of public education but I have found MVHS to be excellent. Academically they provide opportunity for students to excel and the teachers are superb. I would recommend the district to anyone seeking a quality school.

The academic programs are available at this school. The issue I have is the quality of the math program. I think MVHS needs to research why so many sopohmores and juniors over the last few years have struggled in math. As to the administration I feel they are on the right track, however, more effort or recognition is needed for those students where learning does not come easy. It is a school where if the student is motivated and learns easily, life is good. But for students who struggle there is

We moved from Chicago during my Son's sophomore year. He was warmly welcomed into Mill Valley, adjusted extremely well, made a lot of great friends, did well academically & participated in several sports programs. The staff truly helped to make our choice to move to Kansas a wise decision. The counselors & teachers are extremely supportive in assisting the kids with their academic paths. He has since moved on to Kansas State University & is enjoying it very much. I would highly recommend this school.

Mill Valley is an excellent choice for students and parents. It is very competitive, academically, with other high schools in Johnson County. Some of the best teachers in the region work in the school district. My child loves the school community and is challenged to do her best each and every day. The school leadership, from my experience, is focused on making sure every student has an opportunity to succeed. Before making any decisions, take the time to visit the school and the staff.

I totaly am not impressed with this school or the district. My son has been in the system since he was chosen to be in there special preschool for children with learning disabilities. He is now in the 9th grade, and has never learned to write and has poor reading skills . So I feel this system has failed him along with many other studens.I have done everything in my power to get help for him and the system is just not working for me. The teachers really could care less and will not take the extra time for the students that dont learn as fast . Please think twice if you are thinking of moving to this district.

Mill Valley is an excellent school for kids who want to learn - like any school. Don't think they don't have their share of drug problems but the officials work hard to combat this. Help for L.D. students is excellent!
