My family sent a little grandchild there but one year(last too) her teacher(preachers wife) was brutal/psyco to her because her parents were not Christian, it was a lasting horrible experince for a little 5 to 7 yr old girl. Dangerous place, bad fruit.

Be very careful; if something seems wrong it just might be, not all teachers are real good. Its sad to find out when your child is older that her teacher had abused her.

As a parent of three children who attend, I am cannot say enough good things about Cair Paravel Latin School. Students have the opportunity to learn in a caring and safe environment that you don't see in public schools these days. Young children who are introverted and unsure of themselves blossom into students who do public recitation of poetry, act in musicals and plays, and participate in competitive athletics. With 300+ students K-12, it's like having a small town school environment in a big city. The school is really a family of families.

We've been a part of CPLS for many years. My kids have graduated and gone on to achieve great things in college. The education they received in their younger years has gone so far in helping them achieve their goals and dreams. I have no doubt that my kids' achievements would have been much less if it were not for CPLS, its high academic standards, the positive peer pressure and caring teachers.

Excellent school, teachers are of top quality, the curriculum is rigorous and realistic, many opportunities, and small class sizes.

My child has been at CP for 4 yrs. the teachers are excellent educators and very caring adults. They treat the students with love and understanding. The music program and CP is fantastic from elementary choir to Madrigals their performances will leave you speachless! My child has had the oppurtunity to learn latin and read classical literature. Your child's education is truely enhanced , their minds are challenged and they are encourage to practice chivalry. CP os a great place for your child learn and mature into adulthood. 3 stars? The Administration needs improvement! As a christain community they need to look withen themselves and truly be of a understanding and giving heart, instead they look and see the almighty dollar. Beware of a change of christian heart, if you fall on hard times, you will not be picked up. Its a shame a wonderful school must be run this way.

Our family spent several years yearning for the type of education for our children that we now experience at Cair Paravel. The classical model of education and the emphasis on great works and great ideas, has taught my children not just facts, but knowledge; the ability to think for themselves, to evaluate, to ponder, to discern. My children have been mentored by excellent teachers who both love the lord and their chosen profession. Both my children have been blessed by opportunities provided by a school of this size to fully participate in varsity athletics, music programs, musicals, dramas and academic competitions. As a parent, I have been blessed as well through my volunteer service to the school. As I prepare to send my oldest child off to college, I cannot sing enough praises of CPLS and the quality Christian, classical education it provides.

Both my children have gone to Cair Paravel Latin School since Kindergarten. The oldest is now in the 4th Grade. Cair Paravel is a non-denominational K-12 Christian school where children are taught the Classics. I will never forget the day my 1st Grade daughter came home from school having memorized the Robert Louis Stevenson Poem, 'The Swing.' The reading of classical literature and The Bible is encouraged in all grades. The teachers truly love teaching and treat the children as if there were their own. From elementary classroom plays to middle and high school musical and drama productions, music concerts, poetry and scripture memorization and the reading of classic literature, students are exposed to a variety of fine arts. For Middle and High School aged children, the school offers a full varsity sports program. Our third child will be in Kindergarten soon and we wouldn't think of sending her anywhere else.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
