My children attended TCCS for three years. The influence of the teachers and staff made the three years my children attended one of the best experiences of their lives. We have made lasting friendships and would encourage anyone looking for an excellent environment and education for their children to attend TCCs.

Tyro is an ok school. I question the christianity of some of the teachers. Parent teacher communication is not the best especially if you are questioning a teachers actions.

All of our children have and are attending Tyro Community Christian School since the fall of 2001. We have nothing but good things to say about this wonderful school. The staff cares deeply about each student and expects academic excellence and character to be developed in each of our kids. They are not afraid to teach the truth, and we are grateful to have this excellent alternative to public schooling.

I attended Tyro for my Sophmore year and I love this school so much! The teachers are great as well as the rest of the staff. You can make friendships that will last forever and you know that you can turn to any of the students or staff if you have anything bothering you or if you just need someone to talk to. The sports programs are good too. Its almost like no matter what you do at the school, everyone becomes a big family that is there for every member of it. I can always recall fun times I had at the school. during classes or on our way to volleyball games. If you ever have a chance to pick a school to go to in Kansas, if you live close enough, pick Tyro. You won't be dissappointed! ~Chelsea Shaffer, a former student

Tyro Community Christian School is the best possible school in the area. My child excels academically and spiritually. The classroom sizes are small enough to give each student the opportunity to be recognized and receive individual help as needed. The coursework has a wide variety. My child's SAT scores have rated very high. This school academically challenges the students and prepares them thoroughly for heading on to college life and life on their own. I would recommend Tyro Community Christian School to anyone wanting to give their children the best education possible and all the advantages that public schools do not offer. I'm proud of my TCCS student & her achievements!

As a former Tyro student, and a current Chemical Engineering student, I believe that Tyro's Math and Science curriculum needs help. The school should encourage more students to take Algebra and Chemistry or Physics from CCC as seniors in order to counsel more students who are interested in going into science or engineering after graduation. The school does the best it can as far as courses offered, but it could advise students better who are considering that option. Tyro offers good sports programs, that any student who is physically healthy can enjoy. The best thing about Tyro sports is that you can play as many sports as you can garner interest in. Parents also have the unique opportunity to get involved as much as they would like. They can help with the sports teams, or volunteer to help the school in other areas.

I graduated from Tyro in 2002. Now I'm getting ready to start medical school at KCUMB this fall. The teachers are very dedicated and concerned with their students. I would say the faculty is what makes Tyro so great.
