Educational philosophy and approach to learning Holy Cross is a Christian school with an emphasis on rigorous academics. Holy Cross believes in teaching the whole child. Social emotional skills development Through basic Bible stories we learn lessons on how to treat each other; sharing , forgiveness, kindness, patience, etc. We also role play how we should treat each other.
Math skills development Math is all around us. We use numerals and patterns with calendars, manipulatives and story problems.
Speech development We immerse our students into a reading rich environment. Play areas are labeled with words and pictures. Teachers introduce new vocabulary and concepts with each unit. Teachers not only introduce letters but also phonemes.
