Word of Life has done a poor job of providing a consitant and effective place of learning for my two children. I sent my children to this school for two years and each year the productivity of learning has declined dramatically. The classes are blended and my children are a grade apart and I can say that with my youngest second grade was great and I loved her teacher, but as for the third and fourth (blended class) I have had a ridiculous amount of problems. The teacher they have this year lacks organization and effectiveness with the kids. I have been to the school numerous times to check on what they are doing in class and I was greatly disappointed. The teacher does not have a set learning objective for the class. I asked once for the next weeks learning objective and the teacher said she does not know what they would be learning and that she produces the lesson plan as she goes along. The children are required to teach themselves vocabulary and the majority of teaching consists of giving the kids an enormous amount of worksheets and then sending home the papers for corrections. Efforts to work with them to fix problems have been ingnored from the dean to the teachers. Sad

I am a student of WOLTS. Word of Life isn't the biggest, but it is a great school. I've been there ever scince kindergarten, and I've seen them grow in students, and in education. Go Fire!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
