This is one school that is awesome at trying to meet students' needs without compromising the quality of their education. My children have attended for the past 4 years and are well ahead of peers their age in other schools. They are happy and well adjusted and I am very happy to make the 25 mile drive for them to keep attending.

I used to be a student at adairville school and personally i find that their discipline is rare and not good enough. It's unbelievable and yes the teachers are great, but the safty and what the students who actually do wrong get away with, makes it really hard for me to believe this is an ok school for my little daughter to attend. think twice.

I found that my children feel safe and happy at this school. They learn more and included in their learning is acceptance and compassion. They have achieved distinguished levels in standardized tests and are provided the opportunity to work beyond their grade level in order to provide adequate challenge and interest. The atmosphere is happy and easy going. Although there are the typical behavior problems that all schools will have, each child is dealt with in a manner that will most likely result in appropriate behavior. Often times a simple reprimand will suffice but occassionally a more severe punishment is required. The faculty and staff are very good at choosing a punishment that is appropriate for each student, like suspension from the basketball team or detention. I travel about 25 miles round trip to have my children in this school and would not move them for anything.

While there are some quality instructors at Adairville School, particularly at the elementary level, the school rates low in terms of discipline and safety. This is particularly true at the middle school level. A fragmented approach to dealing with middle school discipline issues is partly to blame. The administration acknowledges that there are issues with the learning environment at this school, but does little to promote a consistent approach in dealing with student behavior. Good teachers are compromised in their efforts by a disruptive overall environment. Until this issue is addressed, Adairville School can not be recommended as a quality place of learning.
