I love this school my kids all grew up at G.R. Hampton and I have been in and out of these doors for 13 years and I have one more year after this year. I think it is the best school in Knox County. I have had four kids to graduate and would recommend this school to anyone.

Hampton school is the best school there is in Knox Co. I think this is due to the involment of the parents, teachers and principal. I have had two children attend and graduate from G.R. Hampton and would strongly recommend this school to any parent that is making a decision on where to send their child to school. The teachers work well with the student's in the classroom and push them hard to do well. One of the greatest things I liked so well about G.R. Hampton is they have many different kinds of plays that the kids are in and this helps them adjust to speaking in front of crowds and their classmates. I highly recommend this school to any parent that has small children preparing to start school.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
