If you look at the test scores, it is easy to see that Lay is one of the leading schools in the county. Add to that the fact that there is heavy parent and teacher involvement in after school activities, and you have a wonderful school for your children to attend. My daughter is entering her second year there, and I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. They use ability grouping after kindergarten to help the students reach their fullest potential and encourage them to strive forward.
I believe Lay School to be one of the best schools in the Knox County school district. The teachers are excellent and very easy to talk to about your children's educational needs. I may be a little biased since I also went to school there along with my husband and all three of my children, but to look at the achievements of my two older children you would know why I am so impressed with the learning at this school.
Lay is in my opinion the best school in Knox County. Look at some of the impressive graduating classes that have left Lay. That shows you just how good the teachers are and how well the curriculum is taught.
