Because I went there and the teachers were very helpful and willing to work with you in anyway.

I go to Betsy Layne right now and I'm in the seventh grade I think that it is awesome there are alot of teachers that are willing to help you but also let you have fun. There are a couple of teacher's I could outsmart in the school, but you got that at every school. I am proud to go here not only because of being the #1 middle school in the county and having very good test scores but because our sports are also very good.

There are a few good teachers, but then there are some that do not know anything about what they are teaching. Discipline is quite a problem there, but they just got a new principal so hopefully things will get better. Oh, and do not even get me started on that nasty lunchroom food.

I took my child out of Betsy Layne and now drive 30 minutes one way to take him to a better school. I don't recommend Betsy Layne at all! They are a few good teacher, but that's it.

This is the worst school I have ever been to in my life. Discipline is the biggest problem this school has. As a former student, I know. Parents, and students alike, if you ever, plan on attending this school, do not do it.

Betsy Layne is a good school to go to, I loved it when I went until I moved. There is a lot of kids there...and it is a very sociable environment.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
