If it were not for BAHS. I would not have graduated.
My son graduated from Bucker with severe ADD problems. If it were not for the continued support, understanding and and total dedication to kids with problems whether physical or emotional I would have seen my son in jail or worse dead. The staff is firm yet instills compassion and respect for all. Staying on top of studies and what each child needs in areas of distress. He graduated with a good score, confidence and most of all respect for himself. In the beginning in St louis schools he was 7 yrs old and put in a padded room, not able to play sports or get one on one help. Thank God for Buckner and all the staff there. Other schools dishonor you with teaching the misfits. These are kids that require exceptional teachers going beyond the standard teaching practice. My son is a success I will always be grateful.
I feel that Buckner Alt. is a great high school and a great asset to the community.
This school is an alternative high school for those students who can not participate in a traditional school setting. It is hailed as an outstanding educational system.
