This school needs more academic programs, athletic programs, and more feild trips, they act like leaving the school is going to break the schools budget and they would not be able to serve the kids lunch. The teachers are great they seem to care about the kids themselves and most are treated good. They do not have what is needed for most handicaped kids nothing is planed out well and realy this school needs a new pto officer that has the knowledge to do things with the kids/parents and theachers involvement. In all actuality this school needs help. If compared to the other elementary school in this district (south), they are rated the best and north is not so good on the ratings.

As a former employee and parent I have to agree with ALL of the posts below. This school NEEDS a change. The teachers need a change and the students need a change. My personal experience is that yes... there are some that care. Then there are others who say they care but their actions show something different. I think many are caught in hard places between needing to keep their job and wanting change. On behalf of the teachers, I will say I think they are under A LOT of stress and mismanagement. I only wish they would bind together and speak up for themselves. Teachers and students would have much better days if the teachers spoke up and demanded their heart's desire. They and our children deserve it.

There may be a few problems in North Livingston Ele., but I do not believe that all employees of that school deserve to be grouped together under such a negative review. Many are very dedicated to the students education and well-being and are concerned with preparing them for future education. Please consider these upstanding people when you post. Thank you and God bless.

My child went to this school since she was in preschool, now she is going into 5th grade. She has came home and told me that the teachers are doing their job, they have teacher pets, and they dont discipline and of the mean children. I just think they should have a better school system, or if they dont want to change anything i will just take my kid to a different school. That is fine with me if i take her to a different school because the teachers up here dont care about the childs education all they care about is getting paid to sit around and not do nothing. Well i have spoke my opion.

I fully understand and agree with this parent 100% i myself have 2 children attending this elementary school and i am going through the same thing right now and have been for a few years now . The bullying, the discipline, the teachers getting in my child's face and yelling at them, and you name it . If we as concerned parents don't speak up and stand together on these kinds of things and be there for our children then who will???? It certainly won't be the staff. Like you said a few of them do care about the children and the rest are only there for that almighty $$$$ and thats it. You try and try as a parent to teach your child right from wrong too try and keep them on the right path and the things they have to put up with at school is down right ridiculious.

My children attended this school for many years and I was not at all satisfied with many things. There is to much favoritism shown toward some children and their discipline issues are not the same toward every child. There are a few good teachers, but unfortunately most are there for a paycheck, not to teach these children. My sons class was always referred to as the worst class that they had ever encountered. Isn't this a wonderful statement made around 6th grade children? Overall, if I had a choice of choosing a school for my child, I would seriously consider looking elsewhere before I made a decision to place my child here. As for my children, they went on to Middle School and High School and have not encountered the problems that they were subjected to at North. They have been in no trouble and are both active in Beta Club.
