This School is one off the best in perry county. My son went to school there for nine year counting KG and the teachers and faculty are the best there is. The teachers alway communicated with us about all aspects of my childs education. The parents were always told that they could help in the school at different times and we did. I beleive its a two way street, if parents don't show their concern and respect the teacher, then the teachers can't do their jobs........

I am a teacher at Willard Elem and I beg to differ with the review of ADD, ADHD. Our teachers especially our primary teachers will do whatever necessary to help our children. Willard boost a family environment along with the eduaction of the children. Parent communication is difficult when parents have no interest in the learning of their child. We have many good parents but more that are uninterested. We strive to give our children learning experiences that will relate to real life situations.

They frequently label our kids ADD, ADHD, or whatever combination they can conduct to categorize noncomforming children. The teachers dont communicate with the childrens parents.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
