My daughter attended Winn Primary K-2ed grade. I feel it is a poor quality school, especially for kids who learn different or slower than other students. The Principal seemed nice & showed leadership. I experienced very poor communication skills between parent and teacher. I was never invited or wanted to volunteer in the class room, even though I asked to volunteer. I had a problem with my daughter's teacher because she was moving on too fast in the curriculum and my daughter said she would raise her hand when she needs help. No one would work with my daughter to help her. She wasn't keeping up in the classroom. Perhaps there are too many "clicks" only certain kids gets the attention that they need. Another thing you will find is that there are too many children in one class room. I'm sure it would be difficult for 20 or more children to get the extra help that they need when there is such a high number of kids in a class room. I felt my child was being left behind.
I believe Kathryn Winn is committed to providing a safe learning environment. There is always something going on and it very rarely costs anything.
