As a parent of a child enrolled in the special education program. I feel that our secial ed. students need more programs such as after school tutoring just for special ed. students there has tutoring avaiable for all students. I feel our kids in special ed. need a little more one on one help. Parents need to be more informed there needs to be support group for parents and information about what other programs that is avaiable for our children. If a child is in special ed. for reading and the special ed. teacher gets them a failing grade on there report card there is a big problem there. As a parent not only for my child but for every other child in special ed. As the saying goes If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
