Calvary teachers care about their students in a way I've not seen anywhere else. Christian education does not pay well, so the teachers must be there because they believe in the mission of the school and believe they can make a difference in the students lives. This is seen in how the teachers interact with students and how they invest in students outside the classroom. I personally know students, who years after graduating, still look to their Calvary teachers as mentors and friends.
Calvary understands the balance between rigorous education and a healthy extra-curricular life. Enough homework is given to properly educate students without bogging them down and limiting their ability to grow in other areas.
Not only are the teachers effective academically (college success and test scores proves this), but the teachers are effective at teaching life skills and guiding students toward wisdom for everyday issues.
I am a 1985 graduate of CCS. My son is a 2008 graduate as well. Calvary Christian School is a school of excellence! From academics, to athletics, to the arts, each area is well above average and they have the test scores to prove it. Additionally, the people are like family! It is not just about going to school at CCS ~ it is about growing and learning together and becoming who God created you to be, in order to live your life for Him! I am beyond grateful my parents allowed me to attend CCS, and that my son also had the opportunity to have a stellar education amidst people who truly love and care about you as an individual. I Very Highly Recommend Calvary Christian School!
Calvary Christian School has been a great school were I have learned about the gospel and have made great friends with teachers and students. Calvary Christian gives great opportunity to all of its students and reinforces the gospel message.
