My chid currently goes there and has since 6 th grade. Thank God this is her last yr there. It has been a totally nightmare.. There are to many cliques, too much bullying, that is not dealt with, one teacher likes to make fun of certain students, and makes faces at them in the hallways. I can say there is a couple of good teachers, but that don't over look the bigger problems.. The bullyng is terrible and of course they seem to get away with it!!

Discipline is a huge issue that is being addressed but not well enough our quickly enough. Kids who act out aren't dealt with and their peers, who want to learn, know this so don't tell teachers and other school personnel of issues.

I used to go to Bate, the food was wonderful, and I loved seeing my friends, but the teachers were very strict and unfriendly. There are so many cliques that it's hard to really fit in. The administrators are good, but the teachers need work.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
