We have been at Good Shepherd for several years. The teachers at Good Shepherd are very dedicated and always go the extra mile to help their students. They have instilled a love of reading and learning in our children. The academics are strong. The art program with Jennifer Zingg is fantastic! There is a wonderful family atmosphere at the school.

This is a great school. They have moved to a new campus and are in the process of raising money to build a new school. They have excellent, dedicated teachers. The first year of high school, after leaving Good Shepherd, many students find that it is mostly review. The Good Shepherd students find themselves way ahead when they go to high school. My child has been there for 7 years and I find that the discipline is very good and has improved drastically since her first years. I would highly recommend this school.

I graduated this school in 2002 and now looking back I can honestly say it was not that good of a school. The athletic program left much to be disred. there was and still is no football program, but this is average in the private schools. The basketball team was ok at best and that is only because the girls teams coach was an actual dedicated volunteer. Overall this school is nothing special, and could use some work.

I recently graduated form Good Shepherd, and I have to say, it was a wonderful learning experience! I disagree with the parent stating that the students are not disceplened. At Good Shepherd, if you misbehave or fail to complete your homework, you are punished. You learn never to make that mistake again. Good Shepherd's top notch extacurricular activities are another plus of GSS. Good Shepherd teachers are wonderful as well. If you are falling behind, they are pull you back up. The excellent low student teacher ratio helps this. There is also a very high level of parental involvement, they are never left wondering about the going ons of their child(ren) at GSS. Good Shepherd is simply a top school. There's nothing else to it.

My daughter has been going here for four years and my son just started kindergarten. We are thinking of leaving after this year. The teachers are good and seem to really be dedicated and I like the small family like atmosphere. However the discipline aspect is definately lacking. There is a lot of chaos here. The safety and security of the children here is a big worry. The facilities are terrible. A kindergartener got punched in the nose in the bathroom by another kindergartener, after being told to do so by an eighth grader. The positive things are that their is alot of parent involvement, and small classes. However, because I've noticed lots of behavior problems with the younger kids, do I really want this for my children all the way through eighth grade?

Nothing special about this school; academics are mediocre at best. Definitely not the best choice for private school in Frankfort. Athletic program is okay.
