I am currently a senior here at greenup, and let me tell you this school is horrid. Most of the teachers don't do their jobs, the administration is a joke, and there is a over focus on athletics, if you want your child to be remotely creative DO NOT SEND THEM HERE.

This school has definately had its ups and downs. downs being the sports for starters. the p.e. system is my biggest complaint. though the school board has just been granted money to replace the work out room, which is greatly needed!! p.e. here is a joke. also let me comment on the young teachers and substitutes who can be blamed for the lack of learning in many classes. in he past i have wanted to switch schools, because there are so many flaws but i have began to realize that evry highschool has its flaws..greenup may just have more.

I was once a student at GCHS and let me say i very much hope things have changed there. Also let me add that my bother was once a student also before my parents thought that home school would be much better for him. One teacher there said, ' There is to many students in my class to just turn my attention to one.' So why are they there?

I am a sophomore at GCHS and although we might be in the top 20 percentile in technology usage, it sure isn't helping our test scores. The teacher quality is quite depressing. If I had the option of going to another school I would probably take it if it weren't for my friends. Also, the discipline and rebellion of students is pretty bad. Even right now as I'm writing this I'm violating the rules because I am suspended from computers anyway.

Greenup County High School is actually a really great school. The school is up to date and modern. We as parents have to pitch in and help encourage our children at home.

Good school. I love all the options and the nice teachers. Especially band and Mr. Davis. It is enjoyable being here.

Awful...below the standard. Has gotten worse over the last few years. Just do the research from this site and other websites. Something needs to change.

GCHS is a small school, and everyone knows each other. You won't find any open-minded support here.

A school that has dedicated itself to improving the quality of education for all students. I have been most impressed with the level of acceptance that is extended to all students without regard to how they dress or who they are. This is a school that will continue to make great strides toward continued improvement.
