There is not a middle school that doesn't have it problems, but at Breck Co at least you know the principal is concerned about your child & the betterment of the school. We recently moved (due to the Army) & now realize just how good we had it. At Breck Co the vast majority of the teachers care about your child & what they learn. And I know from experience the principal is there to listen to your concerns & make an improvement if it's at all possible.

My son loves school. When he was in the 5th grade, he was making C's in Math, now that he is in the Middle School, he is making B's. I am so proud of him and a big thank you goes to his Math teacher and all his other teachers.

No. No. Not at all. Does not deserve to be on a website called "greatschools" because it certainly is NOT.

My grandson has never liked school, but he loves this school and can't wait till it starts up again. How refreshing. I would give you 5 stars for that alone.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
