south floyd high has slipped slowly down the drain most of the teachers dont care what goes on and kids love that! things are too far out of hand ! the education for the most part is horrible !
I think the Teachers at South Floyd need to go back to college and also the Vice Principal and the Principal to learn how to chow respect if they want respect
I think that south floyd high school is a wonderful school although most think that it's not much. My kid has learned a lot from being at that school and the teachers are tremendous. When a student doesn't understand something, the teacher are always there and help lead the student in the right direction. The school is now in the tear five status but it's not because of poor teaching skills, it's just because they have a group of students who really just don't care about school and will do anything to make the teachers look bad. But over all I think South Floyd is a wonderful school and has great academics. Thank You.
I am ateending SFHS right now and I LOVE love it. It is awsome. The teachers are GREAT! =)
I can rightfully say that South Floyd HS is a truly lugubrious place to send a child. With unconcerned teachers who only care about drawing a paycheck, very little academic support in terms of college guidance, and little to no diversity in student population, SFHS is constantly ranked among the worst of Kentucky's public high schools. I only recommend sending a child here if you are too inarticulate or unintelligent to understand that thhis is not a distinquished school! I truly regret having ever stepped foot inside the walls of that desolate edifice.
yo im attending south floyd high school now and i love that place i cant explain how much i do but i do lol i moved away from that skl last yr and it was so hard but im back now and yes if i have kids u better bet imma send em there
I attended South Floyd Middle for 2 years, and South Floyd High for 3 years before moving, and going to another school. Although I excelled academically at SF, once in college I found that in some subject areas I didn't know as much as my grades always led me to believe. Though I cannot give a personal account of what it is like now, from what I've gathered from younger cousins, it hasn't changed much. The kids don't learn what they need to, and too much emphasis is placed on the athletic program. I don't think that this problem is exclusively at SF, a lot of schools in eastern Kentucky are this way. It's hard to judge how bad it really was, because I'm doing wonderfully in college, and am currently applying to law school. My advice is that as a parent, you should be as involved as possible.
I attend south floyd high school and that school is a joke. Teachers dont care. If I have any children then they will not attend sfhs.
I feel that South Floyd High School is an excellent school for any child. All three of my daughters have attended there: one graduated college to be a supervisor at a firm, the other is a stay at home mom, and my youngest daughter is still in school. She is a honors student, in the beta club, and has been nationally recognized, as well as many of her fellow classmates. She plans to go on to college and she has already been recognized by colleges, yet she is only a sophomore. Not only do they excel academically, they have a wonderful athletic department as well.
I graduated from SFHS in May 2004 and I think that that school has done a terrific job I got good grades and this is 2005 and I graduate College in Nov to be a Pharmacy Tech. and SFHS does teach you what u need to know Stacy Lynn Adams Class of May 17, 2004
