I am not originally from this area, so I am unused to such a family atmosphere such as at Hiseville. The teachers, assistants, and parents all work together for the students! You cannot tell who the teacher is and who is an aide or who is a parent! That sense of family is sadly lacking in so many schools today but not at Hiseville elementary. Their education is exemplary, but the care that they extend to each and every child there far exceeds any school I have ever been in. I cannot imagine sending my child anywhere else....

I have 1 child in Hiseville Elementary and I think that it is the best school that I could have picked for her. She has learned so much I can't wait to see what they have in store for her the upcoming years!

I have children that attend hiseville and they have attended other schools in the past, however i have came back to hiseville because i feel they can recieve a better education here! the teachers are great, if you have any questions or need help with anything the faculty and staff are always happy to help, this is what i believe we need in a school.

Our family moved here from California last November. I have two daughters that started at Hiseville elementary. One in 3rd grade and one in Pre-k. In my opinion this is the best school they have ever attended. The staff and teachers really care. They made sure my kids felt right at home. The curriculum is very advanced and the average class size is small, which gives your kids more attention. I give this school and it's staff an A+.

My son started Hiseville last year in November, after we moved from Glasgow. He had been in preschool for a year and a half, and had'nt learned anything. In the first week I could tell a big difference. He was coming home from school and telling me things he had learned that day. I was really pleased to know that he was getting the help that he needed to learn. This year he has made a big progess. I am proud to say that my child is a student at Hiseville Elementary.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
