We moved from a larger school district into Larue County School District. A few good things about this school...dress code is fair and reasonable. The school is safe and for the most part teachers are fair. I would say the education they get is pretty standard compared to other grades in the state and around the country. A few things not so good about the school...there is no "No Tolerance for bullying" like they claim (at least not on the buses). My kids deal with bullies on the bus nearly every day and despite complaining to the driver, nothing is done. I will step in at this point and start filing complaints with the bus dept. Secondly, while I think it is good for kids to learn through technology, I don't think they should rely solely on technology for their learning. They get to use laptops at school, but there is a $20 fee for the year and not a single person can answer what the fee is for. In addition, should something happen to the laptop including the power cord, whether accident or intentional, the parent is stuck with the charge. Even if it's another kids' fault. The reliance on technology is why are kids can't spell and write anymore.

Great school!! Both of my boys have gone there. The only thing I don't like is it is divided between two buildings.... but that can be a good thing too because the younger kids have there own building.

I have been very pleased with this school. Not only are the teachers very involved with the student body, they are excellent in enforcing the zero tolerance policy for bullying and offenses inside the school. For every issue I have had, a school official has been readily available and eager to help.

this school is great ecept the dress code. the students cant even wear shirts that have small pictures or words on them. they cant even wear small flags on their shirts. i dont think this is fair. most of teen clothes have pictures or words.

Until 2010-2011, Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined.
