A great college prep school with excellent extracurricular opportunities. You need to see the wrestling facility to appreciate the wrestling program, which is ranked in the top 15 in the state. Small classrooms and individual attention are emphasized, which pay huge dividends in college.
UHA is the best school in western Kentucky. They have the best teachers, the students get along, parents work to help make the school better. They have the best academics, and in my opinion best atlhletics. Everyone that goes to Heights and their parents and so on support UHA athletics. Basketball to Tennis. UHA always has the best test scores and has the richest basketball tradition in western Ky. Randy Mccoy the basketball coach is one of the biggest supporters he always attends school soccer games baseball games and even middle school sports to support what is now his home UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS ACADEMY. Don't be left out of the greatness come and be a BLAZER!
The atmosphere is family oriented. The teachers are free to pray before lunch. The educational environment is nurturing and if the class goes beyond grade level, the teachers keep teaching to meet progress of students, not just this is the requirements for grade 2.
I like the small community atmosphere of UHA. Students learn to relate to other students of all different ages. The teachers are well-educated and prepared for the classrom. Small classes allow students to receive individual attention.
