Academic programs are strong. 21st Century Community Learning Center provides homework help and enrichment activities after the school day. Baseball, softball, soccer and basketball is offered. Great for my kids- since my husband and I work. Parents are encouraged to be involved.

I would highly recommend this school to anyone moving into the community of Jackson. If you are interested in a challenging academic environment whose faculty and staff care about the children they serve, look no more.

Jackson City School is an important and successful asset to our community. It is one of two school districts within the county. Unfortunately, Jackson may have to close soon because parental choice is being denied by the county school system. This threatens our student population and will result in a loss of students to Jackson. Jackson may close as early as SY 2004-2005.

Jackson City School is a wonderful school. The environment of caring, emphasis on academics, and close knit family atmosphere make this a place where both students and parents feel welcome. The administration, faculty and staff are first rate and to be commended for their hard work and dedication. I feel good about sending my children there and feel there are getting the best education that they can receive.
