My 4 grandchildren all went to Keavy, and I think it is a great school, and the teachers and staff there are wonderful. I think Mr Helton is the best 5th grade teacher there is.
I had high expectations for this school when I enrolled my kids, beknownest to me did I know that some of the teachers played favorites and the principal lacked control over staff and students. my child was bullied by a teacher in the classroom and a older kid on the bus, being spit on, etc. the principals reaction along with the busdrivers was to move my child and make her feel like she was the problem, instead of dealing with the bully and her parents. my daughter is in 1st grade the other girl is in the 5th. So I being a parent do not recommend this school unless tremendous changes occur in the staff, I will recommend Ms. Madden she is a wonderful teacher and always great with the kids, I have a son in her room this year. So thumbs up to Ms. Madden, thumbs down to Everyone else.
I just got out of keavy this year (2009)! Going there was so much fun, and the best teachers were Ms. Mitchell and Ms. Stidham! Chris Helton!
I am a proud parent of 3 girls. My oldest daughter Tiffany (21), Holly (15), and Sydni (8) of which all have attended Keavy Elementary School. Over the period of 14 years, this school has become like our family. The staff is wonderful, the teachers are top notch, and we are very proud to have a school that we know will provide the children of our community with the best possible education available. Definitely the best school around!!!!!! Teresa Rice
My son was in Mrs Rudd.s Class Last year he had alot of fun learning new things. 2007-2008 He has Mrs. Osborne for 1st grade. I think this is going to be a great year!
My daughter attended Mrs. Martin's Kindergarten's class this year. I am estatic at how much she has learned. The school is small enough that each teacher remembers your name but big enough to get a wonderful education. I only wished that she could attend this school until she graduates.
