Had trouble with one teacher Mrs. Davis! Failed to communicate with us on a bad grade our son received. Other than that great school!

My child came from another system and this one is heads and shoulders above the other. He is an 8th grader and has the best caring teachers. Mrs. PK and Mr. York are phenonomal! They teach more than academics. My child is lucky to have had them!

I think that Anderson Middle School is a wonderful place of learning. My son was a sixth grade student this past year 2005-2006 and he was treated with fairness and respect. The faculty and staff are very professional and caring. It is a place where character counts on a daily basis.

I have a child who attends this school. We have had nothing but problems for the last 3 years. The bullying there goes beyond the extreme with no consequences, however, let a student be late in turning in homework and is reprimanded to the fullest extent. I have also had terrible experiences with Teachers chipping away at my childs self esteem with the tatics used to get my childs attention. I have visited the school about all the problems and get greeted with the typical psychological bombardment so that the issue is never resolved, almost patronizing. The punishment NEVER fits the crime. Students are helpless and cannot defend themselves. It is pathetic. on a scale of 1-10 1 being lowest... I give this school a -1000.

This school is very strict and does treat it's students like prisoners. I go to this school and so i know. Though the school logo ( i guess that is what you would call it) is 'Character Counts' they want us to be more like robot clones. They sometimes forget that we are kids, not adults, and that we will be imperfect and that they just need to be patient with us. They are very strong on group punishment also. I think that this is unfair but that is another word that would describe this school.

I have a child attending this school. I think it should be less like a prison and more like a school. I have been in the school during class time and have overheard several of the teachers yelling at the students. I have been told by another parent who has a child in IEP placement that she has to tutor her child at home. The school is supposed to provide him help.
