I think East Ridge is a fantastic school and would advise everyone to send their kids here.

So far I like what I have seen, staff is very helpfull. Students, they seem to be very polite. I'm glad, I chose East Ridge as the high school for my son.

As a current student at this, I love it! I would never want to go to another school, and our new principal, Kevin Justice, has made it a lot better in so many different ways.

My son attends East Ridge High School. I think it is a good school. I wish more of the teachers, parents, and students felt more school pride like the school first opened. I'd like to see more students recognized with something other than sports. They need more clubs and organizations.

This school is a really great high school. As a student, I should know. I really love going to this school, and the teachers and students are really great. East Ridge is a wonderful school to attend, and I am glad that I do attend it.

East Ridge High School is a school that is gradually declining in quality. There is an extreme lack of student involvement in extracurricular activities & a lack overall enthusiasm throughout the school. It is obvious that a good majority of the teachers would rather be teaching elsewhere, which conflicts with the academic productivity of the school. Why would you want to send your child to a school where there is no spirit, a lack of student participation, and a declining academic cirriculum that isn't taken as seriously as it should be? Some serious improvements need to be made to this school if it wishes to compete with other KY schools. -Former Student--C/O 2003

I am speaking as a former student and a parent of a 6 month old and I am proud to say that this was a great school for me. I cant wait to send my own child there when he gets into high school. I always felt safe and I loved each and everyone of my teachers at ERHS. They did all they could to help with anything and I appreciate them so much. They werent just teachers, they were friends I will never forget.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
