My son still talks about how great the teachers and assistants are. They left a really good impression on his 5 year old brain. Occasionally a teacher/assistant will reach out to see how he is doing, I am very impressed with that (thanks Ms R.!!).
No homework in Pre school. Tons of activities during the day though. One thing I didn't like is that there was a lot of TV in the after school program, but my son usually got most of his energy out. And in all fairness, they watched PBS, I am fine with that.
The teachers helped my crazy hyper young man to learn boundaries and respect. Not an easy talk considering how wild he is. He is at a different school now and talks about St James all the time. He loves the teachers and other students. However, that wasn't enough for us to stay there.
From my experience, yes. (pre school specifically). The teachers are second to none. They really care about the kids and try to help them understand the confusion of everyday life at their particular age.
St. James School is more than just a school. It's a family. Because of it's small size, the entire faculty gets to know each child -- and each child feels truly special! My daughter is excited about going to school AND excited about learning. As a public school teacher, I can personally say that is a rarity.
The teachers at St. James go above and beyond to meet the needs of EVERY child -- whether it's enrichment or remediation. This a rare find where other schools attempt to get every child to fit in a specific mold. We are blessed to have found St. James for our two daughters...one of whom needs enrichment and the other a bit of remediation. :)
