Audubon is an awesome school and Ms. French-Coles is an amazing principal! My expectations have been far exceeded.

JCPS needs to observe Audubon and make more schools like it available for more children. Siblings should be allowed to automatically enter to keep families TOGETHER . Having children in different schools does not work!!!!!!

I had some reservations about my son attending Audubon Traditional this fall. We put our name on waiting lists for private schools. Luckily, we still are waiting on a call from those schools b/c Audubon ROCKS! I couldn't be happier w/ my son's teacher, principal, & school. They make learning fun (even though they stress that fun isn't their goal) & my boy wants to go to school each day. It's very organized & parents are given plenty of opportunity to volunteer & participate in their child's school & education. The principal has so much energy & knows each child by name (or is trying her best to learn them). She makes a great effort to get to know our children before they are sent to her office, so she has a relationship w/ them outside of dealing w/ behavior problems. No wonder she is Principal of the year!

Audubon is a ok school some teachers are very strict others are nice. Must pick up topics very quick. And some teachers are really mean. I would not reacomend this school unless you are an above expectations student.

Excellent school. Committed, quality administrators. This is a traditional program that has been a very positive school for our 10 year old and 8 year old. As a parent, when I have had concerns, I feel they have been dealt with and addressed effectively. I would recommend this school to family and friends. ~ Tony Gore

This year I have three children enrolled at Audubon, Kindergarten, 3rd and 5th grades. I have been completely satisfied with the exceptional education they are receiving and feel that it has been well balanced program. My concern before enrollment several years ago was about meeting the needs of the individual child since it is a 'traditional' program. My children, having very different personalities, have all been very successful in this program. The staff seem to be proud and happy to be part Audubon and the parent involvement is overwhelmingly positive. We have made the very best choice in Louisville for the future of our children. This is a great school! Mrs. French-Coles is an excellent principal. This is my sons third year at Audubon. I am very happy with the education that my child is getting. He has learned so much as a result of his great teachers.

The entire staff is dedicated and concerned for the children. And it does not get any better than Ms. French-Coles. My son is getting a great education.

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
