Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I went to this school for 2 years. Overall, the school has great teachers but the student body as a whole is horrible. I was constantly bullied and never felt safe. I was always scared to go to school and never felt as if I could be myself. I was also not challenged in academia cause my teachers were more focused on those who were far behind. I transferred schools and it was the best decision I made.

I went to the middle school when I was in 7th grade. This was by far the worst school for fights. Every morning in the gym there was always a fight. My teachers were okay. But I think if they can get the violence under control theyd be doing ok.

Personally, the 6th graders are good but the 7th and 8th graders are just terrible their was a 7th grader he and another 7th grader were fighting ( physically) , then their was a fight between two 6th graders during breakfast. You also have to basically stuff your food down your throat because it takes too long to get your food. Plus everything i'm learning now, especially math, I already knew.

This is the best school I have ever been to I feel like the teachers really care and try hard and all the students get along and are friendly and cool!

This school does not teach you anything. so many people get hurt, and if the students need help they gett mad at them for not knowing the material they are introducing to our children.

I think the test scores speak the truth of what goes on behind the doors of this school, there is no disputing test scores. This school performs poorly and the staff is responsible.

There are only good teachers like Ms English and Ms Connell. Most students are mean but there are some good kids. The test scores are down and I leaned 5th grade stuff in the 6th grade. It was the same things! The staff doesn't tell anything thats going on, so we don't know about events and when we dress down. So far this has been the worst school I've gone to. Try to send children anywhere else besides this school! The only good thing about it is some teachers are nice.

I love this school at first I thought that it would be bad but after I was there for a little while I loved it. The teachers do care! If you are there to learn then they are going to teach you. If you have a bad attitude about everthing then they are going to try and teach you. You got to behave and not disarrupe class so they can teach you! They are all nice and funny and care about us. We all have are bad days and then we all have are good days. Im sure the people reading this have herd a lot of bad things about this school but hey don't judge a book by its cover open it up and read it before you judge it!

Hello, my name is Jennifer. My child goes to T.T.Knight. He says that the teachers are great and that he loves the school. I wasn't very fond of it at first but then i saw how hard my son was working and that this school provided work on his level and just enough. The teachers seem to be very kind and so does the principal. I think T.T.Knight is a very good school! It deserves much more than a 2 star! Besides they may not have as much money but, you can't judge a book by its cover! Thank You, Jennifer

T.T. Knight is a school out of control. The administration seems to have forgotten the main reason they are there, education. If you want your child to receive and education do them a favor and send them elsewhere.

I saw the parents feed back and was angered. I am Aaron J.(a student)I felt the same way as the other parents when I first arrived at T.T. Knight in October of 2004. I was transfered from Thomas Jefferson because of a behavioral problem.I didn't do too well when I first got there. I was a rebelous 7th grader. But with the smaller student enrollment the teachers,Vice and Principal were always able to help me with problems. As a black male I was always expected to do poorly, but at Knight they forgot my past to help my future. I'm thankful for the tough love they give me! Don't get me wrong! I'm not a nerd! I'm very popular and loved by all! And with Knight's help I can be intelligent, and act a fool when I chill with my home boys! I've gotten proficients & distingued on my porfolio with Knight's help!

My Stepson started at TT Knight last year. It hasn't went well. He has had personal things to deal with and no one there seemed a bit concerned about that. The vice principal is the only one you ever talk with when you call. He We tried to schedule a conference last year with his teachers. Only two showed up. This was after the initially scheduling our 'time slot' when all of the parents and teachers were meeting. They messed that up and we had to reschedule. Also, the only time you find out how your child is doing is progress reports. That's not enough if your child isn't doing very well in school.

Early in the year I had a conference with the Principle about my daughter and her grades. She had been to three different elementary schools, (two private and one public), and always got A's and B's but at Knight she was coming home with A's and C's. The Principal informed me that it was the Parents obligation to teach the child, not the teachers. I couldn't believe my ears and challenged him on the point, but he remained steadfast - parents are to teach their children, not the teachers.
