This school was a really good school at one time, our Son went there for many years. It was like one big family and there was a genuine love and care for all students. I really don't know what caused this school to change but I noticed the last 3 years that our Son was there that it appeared that the teachers and assistants were overworked and overwhelmed. Then that incident happened where a gentle boy with autism got both his thighs broken during a terrible take down by staff. Regardless of whether or not the school bounced back from lowered quality and care, safety comes first and this school isn't a safe haven. A teacher openly admitted to these "take downs" and that they happen every day all the time and the fact that this particular assistant responsible for incident kept his job is unbelievable. Our son goes elsewhere now. I DO NOT recommend this school.
This is an awesome school! My son has attended Binet School for almost 5 years and has been able to learn many useful Life and Work skills as well as regular educational teaching. The staff and teachers are the best and have the students' best interest at heart! They all help each other. It is truly a big family of smaller families! I can't say enough good about Binet! I am also very involved in the school!
