Morehead Montessori

When Ginny Whitehead was the Director this school was the best education I could have ever imagined for my children. The primary teachers were incredible. I watched my son flourish and grow leaps and bounds. The elementary was run by Ginny herself along with aides. This was so much more than a school then, we were family. I will be eternally greatful to Ginny, Brooke, Tonya and everyone there for the caring and compassion they not only taught my son but showed him as well.

Morehead Montessori(MM)of Morehead, Kentucky has been a wonderful opportunity and experience for our daughter, a student at MM for the past 4 years. During her 3rd grade year, she read on a 6th grade level, completed 5th grade spelling words with 100% mastery, as well as excelled in math, and science. Children are encouraged to become independent and creative thinkers, and have many one-on-one opportunities with their teachers at MM. MM offers instruction in Spanish, music, an outdoor classroom,and art as an integral part of its curriculum. Annually, MM has a Tie-Dye festival, a talent show, and a theatrical production, as well as other creative gatherings. Parental involvement is extremely high and is a very important part of MM.

Morehead Montessori of Morehead, Kentucky is an excellent school within a small community. The teachers are caring and nurturing individuals who provide a quality education to children preschool through 5th grade. The students are eager to learn in the student-directed environment and the parents are heavily involved in the school community.
