well i go to union county high as a credit recovery 11 grader and the school is pretty ok, there are a few things that could be changed like the credit recovery system i dont feel the students should be isolated from the rest of the school because of there grades you feel as though your being punished and the system could help you earn a little more credits your just getting two more and its so slow your better off in regular classes. The lunch food is ok they could sell a better variety of snacks though. Teachers will try to work with you they just should get more involved with the students more..overall its a good school because you know ther trying but theres still changes to be made!!

i am a current senior at this school and am about to graduate....this school lacks in alot of things compared to other schools in the tristate. IF you arent a certain someone in this school, nothing will be done for you.....school food is equal to that served to inmates....could be way better....some teachers are ok and easy to get along with....others......whole different story

Great school & teachers. Principal does not interact with parents when child is having behavioral problems or has been involved in a rules violation. He delegates that to his assistants and avoids confronting parents. Schools atheletics could be as good as any in the state of same size but lack capable coaches in some sports such as football & baseball. great kids. Country type school, no big city lifestyles.

I attended and graduated from UCHS in the mid-nineties. My educational experience was equal or superior to other high schools in the state. Throughout undergraduate and graduate school I never felt at a loss because of my initial training at UCHS. As a matter of fact, I often praise several teachers who helped me develop lifelong skills. Of course, there were teachers who knew less than some students. This is the case in many education settings, so I don't necessarily see it as a negative. I was also an athlete and I would say this fact made my high school experience better. I always made the highest grades, but I know if I hadn't, my coaches would have quickly intervened. As far as I knew, when I was there, UCHS did not suffer as a result of rural location and that is an achievement.

Two of my children attended Union County High School. I was very disappointed. There are so many rules it has become a game with many of the students to see how much they can get away with to spite the rules. I am so sorry to see how this school has deteriorated in the last 30 years.
