This school is the worst school I have EVER been to. I have been to 2 other schools than this one. All they care about is the most wealthy students in the school and basically ignore everyone else. They barely update they curriculum and I was retaught things that I had learned in 7th grade!!! My children will NOT be going here!

This school is a joke. The opportunities for students are extremely limited outside of vocational classes or agriculture. The only thing they really care about is the sports program. Students are treated unfairly by the administration based on who they are or who they hang out with. The teachers are horrible. The lunch was absolutely pathetic. I feel as though my 4 years there was a complete waste. I have even heard staff from other schools criticizing rockcastles ridiculous rules & policies. I would have given anything to be able to attend a different high school.

I really love this school! The sports programs are always on top and the school has the best staff you could ever amagine. The school system really focuses on whats best for the students.

About the tests


Until 2010-2011, Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky. Beginning in 2011-2012, Kentucky switched to the K-PREP and EOC exams.

EOCs are tests given to public high school students when they complete a course to assess their knowledge of important course concepts. They are similar to a final exam, except that they are created and scored by an outside testing company, ensuring that the tests are both rigorous and aligned with state and national college readiness standards.
