the school is smaller and thats what i like about it....it is the perfect school 4 the perfect community of north middletown...i went to nmes when i was lil...it is the same...every stair,every door,every window broings me back to when i was there, i had an awesome teacher and an awesome classroom...i sent my grandaughter there and she loved it!may it go on for the rest of my lifetime!

NMES is an awesome school with wonderful teachers. i had great time there learning

I love this school. There is alot of parent involvement and the teachers keep you updated about everything. There are lots of extra programs for kids who need extra help and if you have a child who is advanced that make sure that child is placed at a higher level of tasks. The entire staff is friendly and this is not just a school but a close community. We love NMES. Shannon Corbett 2/19/08

NMES is a wonderful community school. It is the best county school you could find anywhere in KY. The teachers and staff are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to make sure that all kids are successful. Unfortunately, the building leadership is lacking at this time. Many parents and staff members have lost confidence in his ability to lead a school. The commitment needed to be an effective principal seems to be lacking.

Until 2010-2011, Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky. Beginning in 2011-2012, Kentucky switched to the K-PREP and EOC exams.
