As a new parent of a school-age child, I have found McNabb to be a warm and supportive place for both me and my child. They have allowed and encouraged me to be involved, by giving me ample avenues to choose from. Thanks McNabb for making this transition as easy for me as for my child!

The school staff is not as focused on academics as it is on dress code. The staff seems to have a hard time inforcing descipline. Also, the staff doesn't seem to show concern when children's conduct grade starts to fall, they should offer support to these parents! They don't even seem to notice a grade is falling, let aone offer help. I am just gald we are moving in June and my child will start next year at a new elementary school!! Good luck to anyone who is attending or will attend McNabb next year!!

I was absolutely shocked when my child went to this school. This school is a sad example of an educational institution. Teachers should demonstrate values and equality. Here, these things are overlooked. I was disgusted with McNabb's ethics.

About the tests


Until 2010-2011, Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky. Beginning in 2011-2012, Kentucky switched to the K-PREP and EOC exams.
