I am a parent with two children in the school. Smaller schools are given a hard knock due to lack of support.that is primarily due to simply the volume of interested parents in a AAA SCHOOL compared to a A rated school. This volume difference effects budgets, schools fundings for programs and more as well. I am not an employee of the school but it is simple to figure how one school system over another can be viewed by outside programs that huge amounts of money has been poored into and let proper maintenance and school tools go lacking. But in the public view that is the better school because of its outdoor view they portray. The thing about Paris schools is you have that personal student to teacher relationships that can be used to encourage so many students. These days all schools especially larger ones have increasingly amounts of fail grades and worse ,drop outs. Students are lacking more and more self control and discipline. Having this more personal student to teacher relationship encourages the kids to better themselves. But it starts with supporting parents. Not parents who are always downgrading everything and everyone.

The test scores for 2012-2013 year not being taken into consideration. The school system had put into place at beginning of 2012 an increasing improvement program .They realised that at end of 2011 after the state changed the teaching standards by a whole grade level that such a program will be needed. I as a parent had several talks about these concerns and new standards and approve their new policies. Im sure the new and upcoming test scores will show the efforts.

The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. They are similar to a final exam, except that they are created and scored by an outside testing company, ensuring that the tests are both rigorous and aligned with state and national college readiness standards.
