I am extremely happy with the education my child is receiving at Pike Central. I was really nervous after moving to KY that my daughter would not be accepted at a new school. The teachers, students and the principals have all made her feel welcome. There is a wide variety of classes taught at PC that are not offered at other schools in the area. Couldnt be happier!

Great school. Comfertable environment. PCCHS is one of the only high schools in Kentucky that offers Japanese.

PCHS is a joke. You learn the same thing there as you do in other schools in Ky. Go elsewhere an you will find the educ. syst. is much better. I was a former student there an at that time they didn't offer any other language, most of the teachers judges you and this acceptance of others iis unheard of.

This is a very nice school. I was a former student there. People may talk about the academics, but you learn the same things you would anywhere else. This school even offers Japanese and only one other school in the state offers that. Everyone pretty much accepts everyone. T

About the tests

In 2010-2011 Kentucky used the Kentucky Core Content Tests (KCCT) to assess students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12 in reading, social studies, science, writing, and math. The Elementary School results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for grades 3 through 5 combined for each subject. Middle School results are for grades 6 though 8 combined, and High School results are for grades 10 though 12 combined. The KCCT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kentucky.
