We transferred our son to JBS half way through the 9th grade and we have noticed a big difference academically. His attitude has changed dramatically. The teachers are truly concerned. I have no complaints and will soon be starting my other child in pre-school. I feel this is the best school in the area. I drive over 80 miles each day to and from JBS to make sure my son has this oppourtunity.
June Buchannan School is a Farce. I found this out first hand , my child spent 3 years there and was not able to read on second grade level. They are all about image they could care less about education. I took my child to public school and within 5 weeks it was a complete turn around. My child had never had no teachers. my advice is if you are strong on academics go anywhere besides JBS. This school has gone down academically since Amanda Clark was appointed dean.
June Buchanan School is phenomenal. The teachers genuinely care for the students intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. The guidance office is superb with assisting students with college searches and scholarships. I was one of the recipients of the Coca-Cola scholarship when he was a senior, and over 100,000 people applied! I felt very prepared in attending a top 50 liberal arts college, and before graduating from JBS, was able to take 16 hours worth of college credit at Alice Lloyd College, which is on the same campus as June Buchanan School. All of the students are there because they want to learn and are encourage by other students and staff. Parents are very active and involved with school activities and are very supportive of the school and their children. June Buchanan School is really a superb place for educating your child! -Tyler Ward a former student.
