The principal (Kathy Hammond) takes the time for each parent and each child and is aware of the situations impacting both. I'm not sure how she juggles it all so well with so many, but I'm consistently impressed. I feel good having my daughter under her supervision and care.

I have two children attending RSES and I have have been very pleased with all of the teachers and policies here. I feel my children are getting good educations and are learning life lessons as well. I know the staff is dedicated to the safety and well being of each child and I am very comfortable leaving them there day after day.

The principal, Ms Hammond, knows each student individually. She is excellent in discipline when required and complimenting when needed. The teachers show dedication to the classroom in all grades. Extracurricular activities are offered, in variety, where no student should be left out if they want to be involved. Parent involvement always needs to be improved no matter where you are located, but Russell Springs does have good parents that teach their children good morals and you can see it in the kids. The school has a great safety program for parent pickup. I rate the overall quality of the school as very high. My son and daughter both have attended Russell Springs Elementary and I believe the school has encouraged their achievements in academics and extracurricular activities.
